By 2010 South Australia will be acknowledged as a sustainable producer of high quality and price competitive Australian olive products in both domestic and export markets. The South Australian Olive Industry Plan represents the culmination of an industry consultation process undertaken by PIRSA, in close consultation with Olives South Australia Inc. (OSA). The Australian Olive Industry Plan and R&D Plan 2003-20081 have a “whole of value chain” focus, consistent with many of the issues identified in the SA workshop. The Australian Olive Industry Plan is also consistent with the State Food Plan 2004-2007.
Olives Industry Report
The Olive Oil Market Study, which focuses on consumer and market issues was undertaken in 2003 to assist the South Australian Olive Industry with strategic insights in the development of product and market opportunities. The report is now available as a general reference.
