Tasting Australia returns to Adelaide from 29 April to 6 May 2010.
Rub shoulders with the tastiest celebrities … there’s something on the menu for everyone.
An explosion of talent and flavours is set to kick off Tasting Australia - the only premier food and wine festival of its kind in the country.
Tasting Australia attracts worldrenowned chefs, winemakers, sommeliers, brewers and restaurateurs and features more than 40 different events including demonstrations, tastings and classes.
The general public are invited to join international and national stars at the Miele Celebrity Chef Cooking Classes. Names such as Maggie Beer, Antonio Carluccio, Rosemary Shragerk, Pete Evans, Simon Bryant, Antony Worrall Thompson, Sam Worrall Thompson and Manu Feildel will all share their amazing talents in the kitchen.
In addition, Richard Fox, Darren Simpson, Patrick Martin, Poh Ling Yeow and Andre Ursini will also be on stage at the Miele Cooking Demonstrations at the largest public event, the Bank SA Feast
for the Senses. Over 30,000 people are expected to converge on the Adelaide Riverbank Precinct
at Elder Park on Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 May 2010.
Tasting Australia also hosts three prestigious industry events.
The Lifestyle Food Channel Australian Regional Culinary Competition consists of 32 teams
preparing three courses over a day.
The foodie equivalent of the Oscars, the 2010 Le Cordon Bleu World Food Media Awards will be
presented at a gala dinner in acknowledgement of the work of food and drink professionals, writers,
educators, TV presenters and producers. The Awards also recognise excellence across a
broad range of publishing mediums.
Finally, the 2010 Adelaide Food Summit - a practical and cutting edge program about the State’s
opportunities to expand its food and wine tourism programs to larger national and international
audiences to grow its reputation as one of the World's Top Food and Wine Tourism Destinations.
