Sector Strategic Plans

Agriculture, Food and Wine plays an important role in the development and implementation of strategic sector plans in partnership with PIRSA agencies and industry, assisting in ensuring that the plans are comprehensive and address the issues along the food chain from paddock to plate.

The sector strategic plans collectively contribute to the targets defined in the South Australian Food Plan, which delivers the Food Industry component that contributes to the achievements of the South Australian Strategic Plan.

The Industry Sector plans are a strategic planning document that provides a match between the industries products and services and the needs of customers and the market. They reflect a cooperative planning approach between government and industry and describe the strategies that industry sectors have identified to enable them to grow the sector, addressing the challenges and opportunities in order to achieve their desired outcome at a defined time in the future.
