The Premier's Food Council was established in the late 1990’s as a collaborative partnership between the South Australian Government and food industry leaders, enabling discussion of issues that are of significance for the future development of the South Australian food industry.
The Council meets quarterly and advises Government on the optimal development of the food industry in South Australia. It creates the vision and sets the strategic direction for growth and development of an internationally competitive food industry, by overseeing the development and implementation of the South Australian Food Plan and Program.
