Customers

Who will present my products to consumers?

Your customer is the next business in the chain and they are pivotal in getting your product to consumers.  Your specific customers are determined by where you are along the value chain and how you want your product to reach the market.  If you are the grower your customer might be the processor, if you are the processor your customer might be a wholesaler or a retailer such as a supermarket.

In order for your product to enter the market, you must understand and meet the needs of your customer while maintaining the value of the product for the consumer.  For customers consistent quality, consistent supply, packaging and price are likely to be important.

The final customer is the person selling it to the consumer.  It may be a supermarket, gourmet store or restaurant.  It is important these people have as much knowledge as possible about your product so they can sell it to consumers.
